Today I realized how much the Computer is worshiped.. the realization struck me with horror. I never thought that idolizing could go beyond golden statues…
Onion booted up the computer and log into msn (instant messenger), she smiled as she saw how many people were online, meaning more people to talk to. She checked her mail then decided to log onto her favorite online blogs. She smiled again as she saw that she had plenty of comments on her page to return. Minutes ticked by without Onion noticing, her eyes were glued to the computer screen with an odd smile on her face, the kind that a ghost would give you as it turned it’s head towards you.. It’s next prey.
Without her realizing it the computer was sucking her into the technical world, filling her brain with nonsense, making her worship it. Adore it. Love it. Without her knowing it!
Then all of a sudden she was dragged back into reality with the call of dinner and the promise of good food.
[Computer smiles as it thinks to itself “Little Onion, I’ve almost got you within my clutches…”]
Onion switched off the screen and went to dinner, at dinner only then did she realized that she hadn’t bathed yet.. strange she thought but off she went to shower….
Meanwhile, while Onion was soaking herself in a tub, Garlic saw an opportunity to use the computer, [Computer smiles again, “now this time I won’t fail.. I’ll get you Little Garlic, if I can’t get Onion..” hehehehehe] Garlic stares at the computer longingly. At least half an hour pasts before Onion comes back in to the Computer room. The room has a chill in it, an unusual spooky chill, that would raise the hairs on your neck. Onion looks at Garlic who is still starring at the screen, and also hasn’t realized that Onion has entered the room, until Onion speaks.
[Onion] “Garlic, I need the computer, can you get off now?”….
[Garlic] ”Wait!”
Minutes tick by.
[Onion speaks again this time more forcefully] “Garlic! I need to do my homework! Get off the Computer now”
[Garlic] “Wait!” (while she types in an online blog…)
[Onion] “Garlic I’m serious! Get off now!”
[Garlic] “No, wait just a little longer…”
[Onion grows impatient] That’s it she decides. “Mum! Garlic’s hogging the computer!
[Onion starts pushing Garlic around]
[Mother] “Garlic, Onion! That’s enough! Share the computer!”
Garlic suddenly spins around (for the first time not looking at the computer screen since Onion entered) and glares at Onion through blood-shot eyes
[Onion gasps in shock] “Garlic… what happened?...”
[Garlic ignores what Onion said] “Don’t interrupt me! The immortal craves for my worship”. She stares at Onion who by then has started shaking in fear…
Inside Onion’s head: Those eyes…. So red, and what happened to Garlic’s manners?.. she’s normally so quiet and polite…
[Onion shivers]
[Garlic gets off her chair and takes a few steps towards Onion whilst muttering underneath her breath] “Accept my sacrifice noble one”
[Garlic holds a green colored dagger in her hand]
[Onion tries to back away, then realizes she has no place to go] **Scream!**
